Paasche Early Industrial "Air Brushes"
Paasche "Type N" double action "air brush"/spraygun. - Airbrush history from The Airbrush Museum featuring Paasche, Wold, Walkup, Iwata, Aerograph, Badger, and more!

Above:  Paasche "Type N" "Air Brush" from the early teens. It's in its original 5 sided case. It dates from the 1920's, mabe earlier. Until the 1940's, anything that sprayed paint was called an "Air Brush." The term "Spray Gun" came in the late 1930's. It was probably an ad mans gimmick to add a little machoismo appeal by using "gun."

Right: Paasche "Type N" case is an asymmetrical five sided design.

Left: A drawing showing the detail of the Paasche Type N. Part #23 is a rod connected to the trigger assembly that moves the needle. Presto! A double action external mix air brush/spray gun. Paasche also used this idea on the smaller Type D-D, a smaller airbrush.

Now this is my kind of compressor! This is a Paasche gas model from the 20's or 30's. This was auctioned off on eBay. I would have bid on it except it was $800+ and it had to be picked up in Tennessee.
